32. Hey, I just want to add a clarification to the above post by GP6971

To be clear, MIRT actually deals with *new* trolls, and does not deal with removing posts at all.

MIRT does certainly deal with repeat trolls -- a small handful of people who for some reason keep coming regularly to DU to cause trouble, and are repeatedly banned -- which I think is what GP6971 means by "long term" trolls. But MIRT only deals with trolls who are new DU members -- MIRT is not responsible for banning people who have been around DU a long time.

In addition, while GP6971 is correct that MIRT does "review obvious vulgar, bigoted posts," MIRT only uses the content of those posts to determine whether someone should be banned -- MIRT is never responsible for removing rule-breaking posts.
