It's PR. It's fake. It's meant to placate Elon and give him dumb grifter like Vivek to waste his time with.

They will make memes and take the very smallest of credit for things the government was going to do anyway.

The reporting on this has been abysmal across the board, indulging in the premise, as if it's the media's role to be in on the joke.
