... in that it gives us eyes on the processes and possibly on the plans. If/when they go extra-constitutional, we will at least have a canary in the coal mine.

It is not great in that it looks like we are agreeing with them or at least normalizing them, but I think that does not really matter. The lines are already drawn, and no one cares about normalization. I think the intel is worth the PR hit.

Or at least I hope so.
