Puerto Rico power outage slowly being rectified after massive New Year's Eve blackout

1. They're a part of the USA, why the hell can't we help them improve their infrastructure?

Oh wait, if we spend money helping the people of Puerto Rico that'll be less money that can be funneled to the oligarchs.

Also, we should be offering to help Cuba with their ongoing issues (which are at least partially exacerbated by our idiotic trade embargo). If we put a bit of effort into helping Cuba we'd earn a ton of goodwill and they'd become a valuable trading partner instead of serving solely as a target for right wing vitriol.
