I wonder if my musings
Wonders, hopes, fears
And occasional screed
Will survive
For a future generation
To read
Or hear

I will continue to keep beat
And let these thoughts bleed
Through the ink seeping, weeping
And keeping my words
Drumming
Like marching feet

But I know this may be fleeting
Embellishing even
These things may just be
For an audience of one
But that's one more
Than none
