to either hire an attorney or get the problem fixed. I hate to see you be in pain. Obviously abusive spouse and barely interested relative don't deserve any favors. I'd try to find a way to get access to that money now, or set it up to go to a good charity. Like others here I tend to prefer animal charities, and I have given to ACLU and Planned Parenthood. Anyone, really, who cares about other people/animals and are not just out for themselves! Sorry you are still in pain.
