It is a foreign film (with notable actors) that depicts an actual event of WWI. Soldiers on the Frontline in the trenches succumbed to the real, mystical goodwill spirit we all should experience rather than helping stores end the year in black ink.
The best part is that descendants of these soldiers get together each year to honor the remarkable event and remind others of the possibilities of extending friendship rather than hate.
I gave all my family members DVD copies several years ago, not that anyone can play DVDs now. I'm sure it is streamed on some platform.
It is well worth watching and learning about.
The true spirit of the season.
