I walked outside today [View all]

At 2.5 weeks post total knee replacement. I’ve shifted using a cane, even though I feel sturdy without it. My PT guy has convinced me that it’s useful for establishing gait (which was definitely affected by the bad knee prior to surgery).

The asparagus is poking up out of the ground, rhubarb leaves are unfurling and the peas that I planted right before surgery are emerging.

I’m thrilled to be outside strolling around, even with a cane. Simple pleasure.
