Good morning my DU family, [View all]

Wow, a whole day without the Internet.
I'll have to confess, I didn't handle it well, spending way too much time not accepting that this was a regional issue and they were on it.

I guess it kind of betrays how people like me, basically isolated in our homes most of the time, stay connected with other people.

I spent a lot of time on the phone, and next time, I think I'll embrace the quiet more readily. It was startling to be honest, so quiet all day long lol. No TV streaming, no computer videos, no news of any kind.

I ended up helping a friend and yapping with him and my sister for hours yesterday, doing some good.

It made me realize I'm totally dependent on the Internet to stay connected with the outside world.

Some lessons are harder to learn than others, but I will most assuredly embrace the peace and quiet more readily next time and enjoy the solitude.

As I wish everyone a wonderful day, please keep Debm55 in your thoughts and prayers today as she is having a day with some medical appointments that she's quite nervous about. (A biopsy)

Please give us a day filled with opportunities to feel connected, but also to go with the flow of a day, to let things be what they are, especially when we can't control their outcome.

Have a peaceful and quiet weekend DU,
Love, John
