1. $13,500 a year to attend U.C. California

To qualify for free college in Sweden or Germany you must have graduated from a college preparatory upper secondary school called Gymnasieskola or in Germany they call them gymnasium. At the age of 12 it is decided who goes to college, only the top 25% of the elementary school academic achievers are allowed to attend Gymnasieskola or gymnasium schools.

To attend U.C. California tuition is $13,500 a year and a +4.0 GPA. Only those who attended the best high schools like S.F. Lowell High School or live in wealthy school districts would have the grades to qualify. U.C. California states that tuition is only 20% the total cost of going to college
(unless you commute and live at home).

I rather not see tax dollars used to pay for some doctor kid's 4 year college education
