9. Mic check: I propose that General Assemblies nationwide consider organizing an Occupy the Police
Fri Dec 9, 2011, 03:02 PM
Dec 2011

peace vigil on a specific date(s) nationwide, in an effort to get the police to refuse orders to interfere with the democratic endeavors of the Occupy Movement.

There would be other constructive benefits to this type of direct action as well.

We could occupy police stations everywhere throughout the country, in big cities and small towns.

Individuals and subsequently General Assemblies could brainstorm and find consensus on logistics.

Passing the mic.

I may not be able to post here for a few days or longer, depending on what happens in Long Beach on 12/12.

Please send good thoughts to our brothers and sisters at Occupy Phoenix, the police raided us this morning and it does not look good.

peace and solidarity
