free college for poor kids and so forth. I have no problem with any of these but the state is broke. There is no appetite to raise taxes to pay for these pay raises, pay raises for judges that was just enacted , and the pension debt.

Add on the Christmas list and where is the money coming from?

I am a state pensioner. I have not had a pension cost of living raise in 9 years. I am o.k. but what about the lower paid clerks and laborers that have been getting pensions of 10 to 20K per year without a raise?
