Joan Watts has passed. [View all]

Yesterday a mutual friend announced to me that Joan Watts had passed on Saturday in central Idaho near Ketchum. I know she was in her mid 80s and battling a long road with cancer. She was a painter but her legacy caused her to be a writer too. I haven't seen her in three years since she moved from here. Her obit hasn't been posted yet.

The daughter of famed intellectual Alan Watts talks about editing her late father's letters.
