One of the most overrated movies of all time. Cinematography alone does not make a great film. It has nothing to do with Wayne's politics; it just doesn't deserve the high ranking it gets and it certainly is not the best Western of all time. I bet most critics who rank it so highly wouldn't watch it three times like you did.
