So I could sew my own vests. I'm a children's entertainer - balloon twisting and magic - and I didn't want to keep relying on others for making them or buying them and not being what I wanted. Plus, I could give myself extra pockets and even a few small hidden places where I could keep a small magic prop that I could grab surreptitiously. I now have made over 60 vests for general performing, holidays, local/state sports teams (KC Royals, Chiefs, KU Jayhawks), Chilis because I twist balloons at two of their restaurants, etc.

I don't pay a lot of attention to sports, but I wish I had listened to my sister who told me that the Chiefs would be going to the Superbowl this year. I would have started sewing things like table runners kid vests, teddy bears, etc. using Chiefs fabric to sell in January. So I'm going to do that this year with not just Chiefs but other teams. Joann went apeshit and bought dozens of bolts of Chiefs fabric that they couldn't get rid of so they heavily discounted them so I have an entire bolt of 15 yards to get through by next year.
