1. Sadly, Alice died a few days ago. One of our traditional dishes for Thanksgiving is Anne McCord's Leg.

It’s a cheesy corn thing from the Alice’s Restaurant Cookbook. I got a wild hair last night and went on Amazon to see if it’s still available. There was a used copy — for $14,000 and change. Yup. 14 grand!
