5. I've been on a few local TV show early morning news programs

If they're at a desk or in front of a green screen that shows them from the knees up, they're in sneakers. If they have to go over to a group of chairs, they put on their nice shoes which are hidden behind their desks. I guarantee most of them are doing all they can to be as comfortable as possible, and if they're smart, they've had their prop departments make a jacket, white shirt, tie costume that they slip on the front and have someone else tie in the back like in this skit. What Conan is wearing is how I described it. He even puts it on a few minutes into the skit.
