Conflict fatigue in the Trump Era. [View all]

My wife and I used to enjoy a number of shows that were pretty violent, with lots of conflict, and even some soul-crushing pessimism. "The Boys" is a good example. There are a few others.

But we just can't get ourselves to start watching again.

"The Boys" is well into its second season, and we haven't cracked an episode yet.

We checked out of "Utopia" after only an episode and a half. Just too damned violent and pointlessly sick.

We are re-binging "The Great British Baking Show" right now.

It's about all we can stand on TV right now.

Waiting for this ugly Saison d'Enfer in America to be over...
