As you would hook the computer monitor to the computer. Using the television as the monitor for the computer. Most laptops have the connections to do this and would allow you to use it elsewhere when you are not using it with the television. Some newer televisions have the means to do this with wireless, but I prefer hardwiring in these instances. (But, I do A/V stuff and am a stickler for picture and sound quality... heh.) You will have to have the proper cables to do this.. usually a HDMI cable will do it. The HDMI cable carries both audio and video so it would be the only one you need.
