Back in the day, a widow lady could request for her lawn to be mowed. They would send out five men and a portable outhouse assembled over the street sewer manhole.

The widow lady came out and asked why they sent five men to mow her puny lawn. A burly man, the foreman, responded. "Ma'am, I got one man coming, one going, one sitting, and one mowing.
