Seems like democrats see problems as systems - address housing and you take a bite out of homelessness. Address climate change, and you will address mass migrations, etc.

Republicans don't see beyond the short term manifestations of systems problems, because their media doesn't go that deep.

Many cities have citizen deliberative bodies that explore these issues. We need to get both sides into civic deliberative activities to understand and address these issues. Need outreach to the right and left.
