getting a non-competitive/no-bid contract to do that initial grant writing on the absolutely absurd grounds that she had unique/special skills/knowledge unavailable in others. The fucking plagiarism in the history text disproves that nonsense, but it was laughable on its face from day one.

The supervisors et al are going to pretend they've got the vapors over the plagarism, but the plagiarism is a distraction from the foundational corrupt choice to hire her in the first place a decade ago.
