when it seemed like half the stories were about how Californians were stupid to live here and we were all doomed and we all wanted the rest of the country to bail us out again - neglecting the actual facts that Altadena and Pacific Palisades have been around for well over a century, and that the entire LA basin is not on fire, and that the Paradise fire some years back was over 400 miles from LA. But the writers of this piece were from Harvard, so they know more than us Westerners.
