1. I don't know. Is that a good thing? Is it gentrification? Are they historically important?

'the Universal buildings' doesn't mean much as a descriptive term. Universal can mean movie studios on Hollywood. Or generic steel Art Deco elsewhere. Were they government buildings? Who wins, who loses.
