He is powerful. He keeps his coalition together.

Democrats complain about him because he runs things with an iron fist. Anyone who crosses him is asking for trouble.

He gets things done, though. He kept Rauner from ruining our state. He kept Rove and his dirty tricks out of our state. Rove was afraid of him. He helps get promising new Democrats elected.

Is he corrupt? C'mon. This is Illinois. Will he get in trouble or go to jail? Maybe they will get him on a technicality, like Rostenkowski.
