Iowa man previously convicted in Jan. 6 attack sentenced to 6 months for secretly recording women [View all]

A northern Iowa man convicted for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol will be spending more time in jail for another case.

Daryl Johnson, of St. Ansgar, admitted last month that he had secretly recorded women in a tanning salon owned by his father.

Court documents show he was recently sentenced to six months in prison for that case.

Johnson was one of the first Iowans sentenced in the Capitol attacks. He was sentenced to one month in jail and ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution and an added $2,000 fine.
