which after powerhouse Vermont, is the US's second large producer of real maple syrup. As far as I'm concerned, Mrs. Butterworth and Log Cabin can take a hike.

I hope this does not impact maple syrup prices, just two weeks ago, we were in western NY, and went into a place that sold syrup on the honor system, you write down what you bought, put the money into a metal toolbox that was fastened securely to a table, and bought your syrup with nobody having to make sure you were honest. A half gallon for $25 was a deal, and I get to have a real product at my table!

If you've never had honest-to-goodness maple syrup, I strongly encourage you to taste the difference.
