Luckily, it's not in the part of ME that my family usually visits.

Rural ME, especially in the winter, is not the easiest place to set up. Given this guys history, I don't think he can make it work. Doubt he has much experience eking out a living in such a rural location.

The good news for him is there's a Walmart only half an hour drive way. My guess is he'll be there as long as he can beg others for $.
