Live updates: Robbins Lumber Mill explosion and fire in Searsmont (centralmaine.com) [View all]

(I'm hearing there are burn victims and at least 2 life flight helicopters)

https://www.centralmaine.com/2026/05/15/waldo-county-fire-draws-major-emergency-response/

A possible explosion and large fire at a lumber company in Searsmont drew a large emergency response Friday, with huge plumes of black smoke visible for miles around the Waldo County town.

It wasn’t immediately clear how many people might be injured.

Crews from as far as Augusta had been dispatched to the scene at Robbins Lumber, located at 506 Main St. S, just to the south of the village center.
