this quote from the article doesn't say much about the writer's knowledge of the subject...

And a quote from another knowledge short article linked from the one above... the same...
"The FAA decided to adopt a GPS procedure for arrivals into the airport, meaning that planes will follow the same exact path according to a computer, with no variation."
The runways that should be greatly affected by this are 1 and 19.. The others are generally too short for even an A-320 or B-737... or even regional jets..
The ILS for rwy 1 IS along the river-- a pretty much 'straight in' approach.
The approach for RWY 19 is also along the river, BUT the river bends a good deal and the way points require more course changes..(There is no ILS for RWY 19..)-- and it IS a tricky approach, with a last turn just before landing...
