1. It's been sunny all week here in NC

But this storm is heading our way. Actually I recall a big storm hitting us in early October several years ago, forcing my friends daughter to find a new venue for her outdoor wedding (they got the social hall at the elks club). It also caused our town's art show to be cancelled. That art show was held last weekend, which was perfect weather. That couple had their 3rd child 2 years ago.

In the past, big coastal hurricanes turning into tropical storms dump huge amounts of water and bring wind gusts, but nothing like the force it hits the coast with. I'm in the mountains of Western NC, but this storm looks like it will cover the whole state. My weekend plans are in limbo.
