4. I submitted a paper ballot as well. This is a Republican area, so they'll use the most

reliable method to count votes. If anything gets fishy, it will usually occur by the person that takes your ballot and puts it in the machine. I think I lost my vote this way during the Gore vs. Bush election. (They drop it in a chute and say they'll count it manually later) And I think I almost lost it again another year when a good ole gal took it and pretended it wouldn't go through the machine, when the reality was that it was too tightly in the envelope.

This year they instructed me to take the ballot out of the sleeve and it put it in the machine, myself. But I didn't like that the guy was standing over me and could see me ballot visually. It's really just those two top categories that really matter. If you vote Dem for the two top ones, you'll probably vote Dem for all.
