Passing a bill that you can’t drop off another person’s absentee ballot off at the supervisor of election office anymore. I dropped off at least 30 ballots during 2020. My neighbors are all over 70 and the ride is 30 minutes. I was happy to do it for them. When I took the ballots in, a republican and a democratic observer were there. At least one didn’t have a date so they both watched me write the date and the ballot was accepted. Easy and no big thing. Now I can’t do it anymore. I am sadden by it. They were so grateful and relieved that they got their ballots to the office safely. Now they will have to trust the post office or drive themselves. Maybe I could drive them but seriously? It’s a ridiculous rule.
