I haven't been following this race; but why can't Democratic primary rivals stick to the issues; rather than dig up dirt?

It's like competing for a starting spot on the football by deliberately hurting the person that holds the starting spot.

You might get the spot ... and you might even prove to be better in that spot ... but you hurt the team.
