It's like women who voted for Trump.

The Koch bros invest heavily with them too.

I've had three repuke Latino congressmen: Henry Bonilla, Francisco Canseco and now Tony Gonzales. Congressional District 23

Also, the immigrants are mostly indigenous whereas most latinos in the US are Mexicans from northern Mexico. Many indigenous don't speak Spanish, so they don't see them as being in the same group. Many of immigrants from Guatemala don't even have Hispanic surnames. It's no different than expecting white people to support white people.

I wonder if Republicans wonder, "How can any white person be a Democrat?"
