A 35-year-old man who entered an Eagle Mountain school Monday and threatened it with explosives is in police custody.
Police identified the suspect as Christopher Craig, an Eagle Mountain resident who once served as the head men's basketball coach at the College of Eastern Utah in Price.
After three hours of negotiations Monday afternoon, Craig complied with officers' requests and was arrested and placed into custody. He was transported to the Utah County Jail where he was booked on suspicion of threat of terrorism, a second-degree felony, and misdemeanor charges of interference with an arresting officer, failure to disclose identity, disrupting operation of a school, and disorderly conduct.
Utah County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Spencer Cannon said the man had a message he wanted to share with negotiators and then obeyed all commands to be taken into custody. Craig was wearing a light green robe, a mask and a type of cap.
