and still have family there. It's beautiful and is surrounded by (small) mountains, rivers, and lakes. For VT, it's a bit purple-ish. There are marble quarries nearby and there were waves of European immigrants to work them. The most recent wave was from Italy and there are lots of good Italian restaurants. As others have said, it's a bit chilly in the winter.
