Coach says champion Seahawks have not yet received White House invite [View all]

The Seattle Seahawks have yet to receive an invitation to the White House following their Super Bowl 60 win earlier this month over the New England Patriots, head coach Mike Macdonald told a group of local reporters Wednesday at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis.

Three reporters who cover the Seahawks – Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic and Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune – relayed Macdonald’s response when asked if an invitation to visit the White House had been extended.

“We haven’t got an invite yet. And then we’ll address it after that, after we get the invite,” Macdonald said, per Condotta.

Macdonald said he expects the team will get an invitation, per Bell.
