… and I’d really, really, reallllly want to take them up on it, but my son (we’re in FL and roommates, thanks to the economy) insists he couldn’t do winters and my daughter (in NC now) is similarly inclined. I grew up in Eastern IA and figure I could reacclimate if it came down to it. I worked remotely for a hospital in Toronto and loooooooved it in comparison to the US hospitals I transcribed for. The people are just so obviously… normal. sweet. caring.

I’ve always bemoaned the fact I licked my wounds from a shitty marriage for so long (finally divorced in 2003), when I should have been trolling the interwebz for a lovely Scotsman (family came from Orkney) whilst I was young enough to pull it off. A Canuck would work just as well. Alas, I’m probably too old to be able to work any magic. *sigh*
