1. Attitudes are still very entrenched

Indeed much of the debate over this has focused on entrenching people in their views on the subject. Especially with the way that the Tory press shrieks at people who voted to leave the EU.

I think peoples views will only change once they start to experience first hand what a disaster this really is.
