And a big danger to democracy.

At least one (anonymous) Tory MP said that he couldn't vote for the 'meaningful vote' bill last week, because of death threats to his family. I am sure that physical, not just political, fear contributes to the reluctance of MPs to oppose Brexit. And when that happens, democracy itself is not safe.
