I live in Sheffield, and Magid Magid rose to prominence as the Mayor of Sheffield. He is most famous for banning President Fart from the city. His election to the European Parliament was aided greatly by voters choosing the Green Party because he was top of their regional list. He's an enormous showoff, but he does manage to rile the worst people in British politics.

I don't think the article is giving the whole story here. If it's because he was wearing a "F**k Facism" T-shirt that would be ridiculous as the Lib Dem MEP's were going around wearing "Bollocks to Brexit" T-shirts without being kicked out.
