Apparently Lake & her cohorts did not pay for the Rights to use Tom Petty's song, else-wise there would have been no complaint.. I believe the artist can refuse, through BMI or ASCAP, to lease the Rights to their artistic property which includes as you say, music, photographs, and printed words as for the most part they still control their property.

I am in the music industry.. trump has been stealing more than Government Documents for his entire life
