2004. My wife and I were at adjacent DREs, and she said, "All I want to do is vote for Castor and it won't let me!". She called the poll worker and showed everyone how you could vote the the Democrat (for Congress) and it would switch to the Repub on the final screen. Happened over and over on that machine even if you got a new voter card.

We both complained and wanted the Election Supervisor to come to the polling site. We didn't want the machine out of sight and asked that it be impounded. This was very early, we are one of the first in line. The ES called the cops and threatened to arrest us. The machine was taken off by a "technician" who "rebooted it".

We were forced to leave. Later, I got a message from the ES that we were not welcome. I've tried to get various groups to deal with this stuff in Florida and I'm sure it still happens. So far as I know, just about all the close elections are hacked by the GOP in some voting districts.
