first-timer to bleaching clothes, need help [View all]

Hi all,

My first post here. I need to bleach some whites. I've never done this before. Yes, I could go google but I'd rather someone(s) hold me by the hand a bit. What do I need to know so I don't ruin my clothes ? Thank you very much in advance!

On edit: Do I use hot water, cold water, or lukewarm for best results ?
