It would be worthwhile investing in a subscription to Malwarebytes. I'm not saying this infection is innocent, but it's probably on the lower end of risk to the personal information stored on your machine.

Be aware that Malwarebytes can be resource heavy. ie it may slow down your machine and internet browsing. IMO that is preferable to having a computer rendered unusable by malware.

It's a good product and worth the subscription.
