Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi

Turn off Wi-Fi, then make sure "Turn Wifi back on" is set to manual.

If that's not it, the connection itself might be set to automatically connect.

In the taskbar, click the Wifi icon, then select the network that you use.

Uncheck the box that says "Connect automatically"

If you don't see the box, disconnect from the network and it should appear.

You can do the same thing from Settings:

1) Click Start, then Settings >Network & Internet.
2) From the left pane menu, select Wi-Fi.
3) Click on the Wi-Fi connection you are currently using.
4) Turn off the toggle below Connect automatically when in range.

Note: if you turn off Wifi and set it to manual, you'll need to turn it back on manually each time you want to use it.

If you turn off auto-connect, you'll need to connect to the wireless network manually each time you want to use it.
