4. I went back to the original discs for the fonts but still no luck. . .

As I mention in the answer above to Auggie, I'm beginning to suspect there's a problem with the computer itself.

I've sent emails to Extensis so I hope to have some answers Tuesday morning when they return from the weekend. I'll update this with what I learn this week.

Thanks for your input, NV Whino. I'll check with Extensis and Apple to see if the Adobe CS programs pose any problem in Mountain Lion. I'll update this with what I learn this week.
