Yes, if it's a real company/organization, then they'll often have STOP to stop the texts. But if they're 100% fake or spammers, then there's nothing that works. It's exactly the same hitting the "unsubscribe" button in junk emails. If it's a real company, it works. And if it's forged or 100% fake then following the unsubscribe links just tells them that you've read the email!
