You can indicate how serious you are about this with action, not words. Indicate that any request from any member of congress (R or D) will automatically be endorsed and requested by leadership, including committee chairs. Even though this should not be necessary, due to the illegitimacy of the OLC swamp memo, this will effectively accomplish the same thing.
